Horizon Forbidden West Has Gone Gold
If there is one thing that many video game fans have become accustomed to is delays. They have quickly become part of our daily news cycle, as developers continue to adjust to the current global climate. However, when a game goes gold it feels like you can safely assume that the release date is set in stone, and you can begin to get excited. With the exception of Cyberpunk 2077, 99% of games do not get delayed after going gold. So fans can now safely get excited for Horizon Forbidden West next month.
In an announcement from the official Twitter account for developer Guerrilla Games, we learned that Horizon Forbidden West has officially gone gold. This means the final build is ready to print and that physical copies can begin shipping to retailers. This is exciting for both the fans and developers as the launch of the game draws near. The anticipation for the sequel to 2017’s Horizon Zero Dawn is massive, as the game appears to massively build and improve on the first game. Alongside this announcement Guerrilla also shared a first look at the game running on PlayStation 4 Pro. Despite the hardware difference between the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 4, Horizon Forbidden West looks incredible on both hardware. The next installment in the franchise is set to release on February 18th, 2022 exclusively on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
