God Of War TV Series Could Be On The Horizon
God Of War Ragnarok could possibly be one of the biggest PlayStation games this year, which is no small claim. However, after the massive breakout success of God of War 2018 as the franchise was reimagined by Sony Santa Monica. It possibly is one of the biggest IPs in the PlayStation catalog alongside such titles as The Last of Us. In a new report today, it was revealed that we could be seeing more God Of War very soon, but outside of the PlayStation console.
God Of War Comes To Your TV Screen
In a breaking story from Deadline, it was revealed that God Of War could potentially be getting its own TV series. Reportedly, PlayStation Productions and Amazon Studios will be partnering to make the mythology-focused adventures of Kratos into a live-action TV series. While there are currently no details in regards to what the casting for this show will look like, or what era of the God of War franchise the series will be exploring. The series will be led by the creators and executive producers of The Expanse as well as an executive producer from The Wheels Of Time. It certainly seems to fit the other projects that are currently in production as PlayStation looks to grow and expand their biggest IP outside of just the video game market.
With the massive success of the Uncharted movie starring Hollywood headliners Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg. Alongside the potential of the upcoming The Last Of Us HBO adaptation that stars Pedro Pascal, and Bella Ramsey. It appears that PlayStation is all in on adapting some of their biggest IP to the big screen. Even testing the waters with some of their more classic titles such as the upcoming Twisted Metal TV series and a rumored Jax and Dexter film. While it is impossible to predict what the quality of these shows could be, one thing is for certain. PlayStation is focused on combining its powerhouse movie talent in Sony Pictures with the incredible video game talent behind its games division.
