State of Play June 2022: Spider-Man: Remastered for PC

Spider-Man Recast

On June 6th, 2022, Sony held a State of Play presentation focused on third-party titles and upcoming PSVR 2 games. Despite the third-party focus, the showcase also included some news about Playstation’s first-party properties. This included Sony’s announcement that they are bringing Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered to PC.

Sony originally published Spider-Man: Remastered on Playstation 5 in 2020. The game tells Peter Parker’s story after he grew into Spider-Man’s identity. Insomniac’s superhero game received high praise in its original 2018 release. In addition to remastering the original game, Insomniac also included The City that Never Sleeps three-part DLC in this bundle.

Since the original’s 2018 release, Insomniac also released Spider-Man: Miles Morales and plans to release Spider-Man 2 in 2023.

One of Sony’s newest first-party studios, Nixxes Software, appears to have taken point in porting this title, which will be available for PC players on August 12th, 2022.

Playstation also confirmed in a blog post that Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will come to PC sometime this fall.
