Pentiment Gets Official Release Date At Gamescom
There is no doubt that Xbox has a wealth of massive RPG franchises in its first-party lineup since the purchase of Bethesda, inXile, and of course Obsidian. Not all of these RPGs are massive however, there is a small upcoming title from Obsidian that has caught many people’s eyes. Pentiment the medieval RPG with a team led by Josh Sawyer, who was a huge part of the creation of Fallout New Vegas, and both Pillars of The Eternity games. With all the pedigree and Obsidian’s history of creating incredible RPGs, the game quickly climbed up many people’s most anticipated games list. Now we learned that we won’t have to wait long to get our hands on this RPG.

Today at Gamescom Obsidian revealed that Pentiment will be coming to Xbox and PC on November 15th, 2022. It will be available at launch on both Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass for all subscribers. Here is a brief description of what to expect from the Steam store page.
“From Obsidian, this game is a historical mystery narrative-driven game that focuses on character development, heavily stylized art, and choice-driven storytelling in early 16th century Germany. The main character is a clever illustrator who is caught up in a series of murders at Kiersau Abbey over twenty-five years. This character alone possesses the wits and will to expose the killers, but each decision he makes has lasting consequences and inexorably draws him closer to the center of an underlying conspiracy.”
