The last few months have been a rollercoaster ride for the Xbox platform. Everything from the CMA blocking the Activision Blizzard deal, to some questioning Xbox leadership after the Redfall debacle, to the EU breathing life again into the ABK acquisition after approving it. Needless to say, if you’re an Xbox fan, recent times were turbulent to put it lightly. But now, we are in the midst of the much-beloved summer gaming convention season.
To say this year’s Xbox showcase is highly anticipated is an understatement. Fans are through the roof with hype and anticipation. This year’s Xbox Showcase promises to deliver to fans what they’ve been longing for, quality first-party games. Best of all, the Showcase is already confirmed that it will not feature any full CGI trailers. During the Xbox Showcase, fans got a glimpse of Compulsion’s latest game, South of Midnight.
South of Midnight Revealed at the Xbox Showcase 2023
South of Midnight had an interesting art style as expected from the Compulsion Games. It also had a stop-motion animation to it, which created a unique presentation. The game is set in a Louisana Bayou-esque setting, with a clear magical setting. Other than that, not much else is known about the game.
The game will be available on day one on Xbox Game Pass. It will also hit Steam as well.
