The Shellbasher hits and it hits hard. Be sure to have a healing-based essence stone or two equipped before squaring off with the crab. Also, equip the Hurling Hammer skill as your tier-1 skill. It’s useful to deal range damage on Shellbasher if you’re low on health or idol.

Deal with the Minions to Raise Momentum

As if the Shellbasher wasn’t annoying enough, it will spawn some small enemies. Be sure to clear them out to build your momentum bar and unleash some skilled attacks on the giant crab. Best of all, focusing on the smaller wraiths will also replenish your idol energy so you can heal later on in the fight.

Dodge Out of the Way of the Shellbasher HeadButt

When you see the Shellbasher whip its body back, that means it’s about to headbutt you. Unfortunately, it is unparryable so best to dodge out of the way. You’ll see blue emanating from Shellbasher just as it unleashes the headbutt. So use that as a tell and dodge, dip, and duck out of the way.

Stay in the Air as Much as You Can

The nice thing about Atlas Fallen is that you can continue to unleash pain from the air. So, use that to your advantage when dealing with Shellbasher. It’s easier to air dash out of the way of its attacks that way. Best of all, staying in the air is a sheer fire way to damage its body parts.

Prioritize Destroying the Shellbasher Claws First

You’ll learn early on that wrecking the body of the giant crab will enrage it. Meaning, it will be aggroed and more aggressive. If want to avoid that, be sure to target the claws first then focus on the body. That way, it will keep enraged for the final phase of the fight.
