Baldurs Gate 3 To Launch on Xbox Series This Year

Baldur's Gate 3

In a recent announcement from Swen Vincke, the CEO and Founder of Larian Studios. He has announced that the Xbox Series version of the phenomenal Baldurs Gate 3 will be launching on the consoles this year, as opposed to next year. Here are the official details straight from official announcement.

Details on Baldurs Gate 3 Coming to Xbox Series Soon

Early in the morning, Swen Vincke announced on his official Twitter page the following:

This is spectacular news considering Baldurs Gate 3 is currently the 4th highest rated on Opencritic. But this announcement does come with a caveat that affect Xbox Series S owners Swen went onto say:

So while Xbox Series X owners will get the feature complete experience of Baldurs Gate 3. Players on Xbox Series S will have to do without Split-Screen coop. This not too much of a sacrifice considering players on PC who do not have a rig that is well above the minimum spec on Steam can barely get this feature to run. Split-screen seems to be a very resource intensive feature that may or may not come to the Xbox Series S of Balders Gate 3 at a later date. But as of right now, the highly reviewed and highly loved title on PC will be coming to Xbox Series consoles this year. With no specified day or month at this time.

Baldurs Gate 3's Patch

Balders Gate 3 is available now on Steam and GoG. As well as arriving on PlayStation 5 September 1st.

Update 8/26/2023

Xbox has confirmed that Split-screen coop will be coming to the Xbox Series S post launch in a Twitter post days ago:
