MINTROCKET Announces New Game NAKWON: Lost Paradise

MINTROCKET, the acclaimed developer of Dave the Diver, has just announced its newest project, NAKWON: Lost Paradise.

Set in Seoul South Korea, NAKWON is a stealth-survival game in a post-apocalyptic world infested by zombies. Players are tasked to avoid detection, loot gear, and escape to survive.

NAKWON is a PvPvE game that pits up to 16 players together. The game seems to take cues from other extraction-type games such as Escape from Tarkov and Call of Duty DMZ. So far, the game is scheduled to hit Steam.

Game Director Jang Kyoung Han had this to say about the game:

“We wanted to make a real survival game where you have to hide, run away, eat, and survive in a world where Zombies hunt Humans, rather than the other way around.” 

Han added, “The game’s development started less than a year ago, but getting community feedback is going to be very important to us, and so we’d like to start sharing information early and openly.”

A Stark Departure from Previous Title

It appears that NAKWON is a stark departure from the highly acclaimed and relaxing Dave the Diver. Everything from the game’s graphics and art style to a more mature and highly tense zombie atmosphere is a night and day difference from the cozy diving and sushi management sim predecessor. 

Despite the announcement, MINTROCKET is still hard at work porting Dave the Diver to Nintendo Switch while still continuing to implement player feedback in the Steam and Mac versions of the game.
