Xbox Games Showcase 2024 Round Up – Xbox and Call of Duty Showcase Comes in Strong
The mess that is left by the death of E3 continues, and this time we have a recap of the Xbox Games Showcase and Call of Duty Showcase. During the show, 30 games were shown off for a wide breadth of genres that will surely keep Game Pass subscribers busy for a long time. Check some of the highlights of the show below. Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Opens the Xbox Games Showcase
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 brings an all-new campaign set in the Gulf War era. The game will feature 12 new 6v6 maps & four new strike maps at launch. Of course, it wouldn’t be Black Ops without the return of round-based Zombies.

DOOM: The Dark Ages
Set to release in 2025, DOOM: The Dark Ages is the prequel to the critically acclaimed DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal. DOOM: The Dark Ages is a single-player action FPS that tells the origins of the DOOM Slayer.
The game will be released on Xbox Series consoles, PC, and PlayStation 5 in 2025. And it will also be releasing day one on Game Pass.
State of Decay 3 – Xbox Games Showcase 2024
State of Decay 3 is set years after a zombie apocalypse nearly wiped out humankind. The game claimed to be the next evolution in the State of Decay franchise. Despite the zombie outbreak continuing to claim lives and destroy the world, survivors must fight back for the sake of their community.
Starfield Expansion: Shattered Space
Shattered Space is a new story expansion for Starfield. The expansion focuses on a mysterious power struggle stirring in the city of Dazra on House Va’Ruun’s hidden homeworld. Players will investigate a frightening cosmic threat, explore a new planet, and find unique weapons, spacesuits, and gear in this all-new adventure.
In addition to this new expansion, as of this writing an update released for Starfield. This update includes new bounties, new gear, and full Creation Club integration. That means Mod support is now available on consoles. Between Mod support and the prior update, the game is getting major support from Bethesda and Microsoft.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a stunning new turn-based RPG. The game is the debut title from Sandfall Interactive comes to Xbox Series X|S in 2025.
The trailer features Final Fantasy XVI’s Ben Starr offering the narration, implying major involvement in the full release. In addition, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 offers turn-based combat not dissimilar to games like Lost Odyssey and the Mario RPG games. Meaning, that you could block/counterattack or add additional damage with careful button presses.
Fallout 76 Gets its First Map Expansion
Looks like Appalachia is expanding southward to Skyline Valley. Players will investigate the cause of the electric storm circling overhead and unveil the mystery around Vault 63 and its dwellers, including a shocking new Ghoul type – The Lost. Skyline Valley will be available on June 12.
South of Midnight Gameplay Reveal – Xbox Games Showcase 2024
South of Midnight is a new third-person action-adventure from Compulsion Games. A devastating hurricane rips through Prospero, Hazel is pulled into a Southern Gothic world where reality and fantasy are woven together, and ancient folk creatures emerge to raise hell. The game is slated to release sometime in 2025.
World of Warcraft: The War Within
The War Within expansion launches August 26 at 3PM PDT where Azeroth awakens.
Become a Villain in Sea of Thieves
Become a Villain has players seizing Flameheart’s powerful flagship and becoming the boss fight with an all-new type of World Event arriving in Sea of Thieves Season 13! The update will be available on July 25.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Reveal Trailer – Xbox Games Showcase
Dragon Age: The Veilguard should be a return to form for RPG veterans Bioware. The game is an immersive single-player RPG where you become the leader others believe in. When corrupt gods break free from centuries of darkness, the odds will be stacked against you. You can’t do this alone. In the game, players will rally a team of seven companions, each with rich lives and deep backstories. In true Dragon Age fashion, these are characters to befriend, and even fall in love with.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn – Xbox Games Showcase 2024
Explosive indie Souls-lite Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is set to launch day one on Game Pass on July 18.
Age of Mythology: Retold
Blending modern real-time strategy design with a focus on mythology as opposed to history on this occasion. Where the power of ancient gods is at your disposal.
Perfect Dark Gameplay Wowed During the Xbox Games Showcase 2024
In the Perfect Dark universe, Earth has been struck by a series of natural disasters that are devasting ecosystems around the world to the verge of collapse. Players got a first look at gameplay, following agent Joanna Dark as she hunts down the world’s most wanted criminal, Daniel Carrington, to uncover the mysteries that threaten the lives of millions.
Despite earlier rumors implying the game is in a rough state, the gameplay showcase genuinely impressed. Blending Mirrors Edge’s first-person platforming, a focus on using gadgets, and retaining the N64 original’s first-person perspective; the game looks to be quite an exciting adventure.
Diablo 4 Vessell of Hatred Set for October Release
Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred will take players into the new region of Nahantu in search of Neyrelle, who is both suffering the fate of her choice to imprison the Prime Evil Mephisto, and seeking a means to destroy him. The expansion will feature the all-new Spiritborn class. Vessel of Hated will be available on October 8.
A New Hero Shooter Appears in FragPunk
FragPunk is a brand-new fast-paced 5v5 hero shooter with power-up cards that change the rules of combat! The game is slated to release sometime in 2025.
Fable
What does it mean to be a Hero? Playground Games’ new RPG entry into the Fable series looks to tackle this question when it releases next year.
Winter Burrow
In Winter Burrow, players follow a little mouse as they tell their story of arriving at a broken-down childhood home and a harsh winter woodland. Since it is a survival game, players will need to find the courage to survive and make the tree stump home a cozy home again, while they look for their lost Aunt who they find in the end only to have them taken by an Owl.
Mixtape
From the developers of The Artful Escape, Mixtape follows three friends embarking on one more adventure together during their last night of high school.
The official trailer said the following about the game;

On November 19, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be released with a new tech overhaul, but most importantly, a new “career mode” will introduce missions into the game.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure
Life is Strange: Double Exposure will be released on both Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 29, 2024. Max Caulfield will return to the spotlight, where she has to alter reality to save the life of a loved one.
The Elder Scrolls Online Celebrated its 10th Anniversary at the Xbox Showcase
ESO celebrated its 10th anniversary in style during the Xbox Showcase. For a limited time, all expansions will be free-to-play to players. Expect a whole slew of other goodies during its decade-long celebration.
Mecha BREAK Unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Makes its Second Appearance of the Year
Indian Jones and the Great Circle takes place between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. The game will be released day one on Game Pass in 2024.
Avowed Makes Another Showing at the Xbox Games Showcase
Slated to launch in 2024, Avowed pits players as an envoys of Aedyr sent to investigate rumors of a plague spreading across the land. The game will be available day one on Game Pass.
Atomfall Revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase
Set in Cold War-era Britain this game is rife with paranoia sci-fi and folklore this game is a collision of space and time in the wackiest way possible. Coming to Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC in 2025.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Gameplay Shown Off
Regardless of Assassin’s Creed Shadows slated for Ubisoft Forward, players got a glimpse of what they can expect in terms of gameplay. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is slated to launch on November 15.

Ensuring the promises made earlier in 2024, Sarah Bond came on stage to announce three new SKU’s for Xbox Series platforms. The official YouTube video said the following on the new console SKU’s.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl
After many hardships, the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World sees a light at the end of the tunnel. Stalker 2: Heart of Chornoblyl is set for launch on Xbox Series consoles and PC on September 5th, 2024. It will also launch day one on Game Pass.
As seen in the trailer, the title continues the survival-focused gameplay of the prior titles while utilizing the Series X/S hardware to deliver truly amazing visuals.
Gears of War: E-Day
While many expected to see Coalition show up with a Gear of War project at the Xbox Game’s Showcase, what they delivered was a genuine surprise.
Taking place years before the events of Gears of War, this new installment will follow Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago to fight the Locust threat. As seen in the trailer, the series horror roots are on full display and the trailer is completely in-engine, showing the power of Unreal Engine 5.
No date is given but Gears of War: E-Day is slated for Xbox Series consoles and PC. And will launch day one into Game Pass when it releases.
