Wayfinder Returns to PlayStation 5 Today with Second Quality of Life Update

Back in June, Airship Syndicate launched the Echoes update for Wayfinder. This update fundamentally changed the game from its launch version of an always online MMORPG to a Diablo-lite ARPG with tons of content and tons of activities that you can enjoy alone. But, ever since April of this year, players on PlayStation have only been able to play the original launch version of the game with its many content updates. That, however, has changed today as Airship Syndicate has finally been able to relist the game on PlayStation 5 for players to purchase once again, and existing owners to enjoy the Echoes update.

What to Expect from the Echoes Update of Wayfinder on PlayStation

For starters, when you launch Wayfinder on PlayStation 5, you will be starting fresh once again. All earned wayfinders, weapons and story progress are being wiped considering the massive overhaul to the games systems. Wayfinders are now earned throughout the story campaign, with every weapon earned as random drops throughout your playtime. So, do not fret if you lost everything, you would gain it back fairly quickly.

You can also expect to enjoy mounts in the open worlds, instantaneous fast traveling, a new talent tree for all wayfinders and a new open world area called Frostmarch. There are also two major quality of life patches worth of changes to enjoy, such as a custom lobby browser to play with random players, better fluidity of combat and much more.

Finally, today Airship Syndicate announced that with the games 1.0 launch out of early access on October 21st, they will be releasing a collaboration supporter pack with Critical Role that will include the following: 

• 4 Character Personas. Including:
  • Grendel as Grog Strongjaw
  • Niss as Vax’ildan
  • Venomess as Vex’ahila 
• 1 Trinket Mount & Saddle
• 4 Character Charms
• 15 Housing Items
• 10 Sprays

This pack will be optional at a $19.99 USD price tag.

You can buy Wayfinder on the PlayStation store for $24.99 USD if you have not purchased it already.
