The dream of being a sea-faring pirate, sailing across the seven seas and going on adventures, is a tried-and-true theme in gaming. And joining the battle-worn seas of Like a Dragon: Pirate in Hawaii and Sea of Thieves comes 3DCloud’s Tridents Tale.

Trident’s Tale – Announcement Trailer

Known for their work on major franchises like Transformers and Paw Patrol, Italian independent studio 3DCloud is self-funding and publishing a single-player pirate adventure.

They describe their upcoming pirate adventure with the following:

Trident’s Tale is a single-player pirate adventure set in a vibrant and colourful magic-infused world. Embark on an epic journey across a vast sea teeming with unique islands, dank dungeons, enemies to vanquish and mysteries to unravel. Players will be immersed in a gripping tale filled with eccentric characters, cunning riddles, shadowy-dungeons and adrenaline-pumping battles against monsters, competing pirate gangs and more on both land and sea.

Impressions of the Reveal Trailer & Developer Comments

Watching the trailer, I walked away impressed. A full, proper, single-player pirate adventure was something I always wanted. The trailer showcasing polished ship combat and a diverse combat system only increases my excitement for the adventure.

They also have provided the following comments on Trident’s Tale, highlighting it’s length and other aspects of the experience:
