Summer Game Fest 2026: Stellar Blade: Blood Rain Announced

Shown at Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest stream, Shift Up, the developers of Goddess of Victory: Nikke and Stellar Blade, revealed a 3-minute trailer for their next title, Stellar Blade: Blood Rain. This title will be set in an all-new location, feature a new protagonist, and have an all-new gameplay style. Here is everything we know about the game from its reveal trailer!

What we Know About Stellar Blade: Blood Rain

As mentioned previously, it will be a sequel to the original Stellar Blade. It is going to feature a new protagonist; however, her name is Evie.

Her gameplay style is going to be very different but features similar mechanics. She will fight with gauntlets, as opposed to a sword. You will still be able to parry and dodge like in the previous game. As far as the story goes, we have nothing to really go on with, other than the fact that Evie was tracking down a gang before stuff hits the fan.

The gameplay is still as cinematic as ever and appears to be more linear. As for when Stellar Blade: Blood Rain will come out? That is a good question, as it is apparently still in early development. Considering the original came out two years ago, it’s a safe bet that this sequel will need a few more years to match the quality of its predecessor.
