If you were a fan of the Hex in Warframe: 1999, the narrative panel earlier today had you covered in a fourth-wall-breaking announcement. Digital Extremes showed off a brand new Nightwave coming soon. But instead of starring Nora, it’s Amir from the Hex in 1999. This new Nightwave is going to feature a ton of new cosmetic goodies that are themed after the Warframe universe’s version of Dungeons & Dragons called “Fable & Frontiers”. No, I’m not kidding you. Here is what you can expect from the announcement!
What We Learned from the Next Nightwave in Warframe
This Nightwave is going to be called “Amir’s Shockwave”. There will be an all-new group chat with the Hex regarding their ongoing game over the course of six days. You can also go to a special area in the Hollvania Mall to visit Amir and check out the game room. The content will stay forever, unlike past Nightwaves. Included in the Nightwave are all-new glyphs for each Hex member resembling their character. There will not, however, be skins to accompany what we see in the glyphs, sadly. However, there will also be a new On-lyne song in this update called “Running Late”. They also teased a new Drifter/Operator costume for it.

Nightwaves in Warframe are a completely free battle pass system, with weekly and daily challenges. You do not need to buy the Nightwave, nor can you “pay-to-skip” the grind. This one is completely unique as it is the first with more than just cosmetics, and the content will be playable in Warframe after the battle pass is retired. It will be available in August on all platforms as part of a free update.
