Developer miHoYo has announced more details regarding their upcoming free-to-play open-world action RPG. Genshin Impact will launch its second closed beta on March 19. The announcement comes with a brand new trailer introducing Amber, the game’s protagonist, some gameplay, and the two areas available in the beta.

Genshin Impact’s Closed Beta Drops March 19

Genshin Impact‘s closed beta will allow players to explore the fantasy-like lands of Teyvat, specifically from Mondstadt to Liyue Harbor. Players will be able to dive into quests that involve slaying monsters with a team of up four characters. With a focus on exploration and combat, this upcoming beta will give a closer look at the gameplay systems involved. From the trailer, players get a tease of the flashy action gameplay and enemy types.

In Genshin Impact, you play as “The Traveler,” a mysterious character that is uncovering the secrets of the gorgeous lands of Teyvat all the while attempting to find their long-lost sibling. The RPG features an explorable open-world with deep gameplay mechanics and multiple characters to play as.

Genshin Impact‘s closed beta kicks off March 19 on PC, iOS and Android devices. The full free-to-play title is slated to release in 2020 on PS4, PC, Switch and mobile devices.
