12 Month Xbox Live Membership Slowly Disappearing

It seems that players who want to purchase 12 months of Xbox Live will not be able to do that. With no real announcement, the SKU was pulled from the Microsft online store.

At this moment players can still find the 12-month code on Amazon. I haven’t looked yet but I’m guessing you can still find it in physical stores at the moment. The team over at True Achievements broke this story a few days ago. At first, it just seemed like a mistake, it has been confirmed by Microsoft that it was no mistake. The nameless spokesperson told this about the removal of the SKU.

“At this time, Xbox has decided to remove the 12 months Xbox Live Gold SKU from the Microsoft Online Store. Customers can still sign up for a one month or three month Xbox Live Gold subscription online through the Microsoft Store.”

This is all coming on the heels of some huge Xbox gaming news. The xCloud program will be coming to  Games Pass in September and that the digital version of the X and S consoles are being discontinued. It seems that its no surprise that Xbox will be announcing some new prices for their subscription service as we get closer to the Xbox Series X release window. We should be getting some news this coming week at the Xbox Games Showcase on July 23rd.
