Wonder Woman 1984 Takes Over the Box Office

Wonder Woman 1984 was able to take over the top spot at the box office. This film had little to no problems as it grossed an impressive amount. Monster Hunter and the other movies didn’t do as well this past weekend.

The amount of $16.7 million is usually a bad way to start a box office run. With everything that is happening around us, it’s actually the opposite. Wonder Woman 1984 was able to gross that estimated amount. Even with all the below-average reviews, this film has had one of the best opening weekends during the pandemic. At the moment the movie is sitting at $85 million worldwide. It should easily finish its theatrical run around $250 million.

News of the World was able to gross an estimated $2.4 million. Promising Young Woman and Pinocchio were both released this past weekend. Each movie made a decent amount of money in their opening weekend. The Elf was able to grab a little cash as well, that movie grossed $115,000.
