Nintendo Finally Adds Bluetooth to Switch
Nintendo has finally announced that players can now add different Bluetooth devices to the Switch. Looking to add that new set of headphones you’ve been dying to try out? Now is the time.
The first thing you need to do is update that Switch to the most recent software update. That will add a new area to your settings menu. The Bluetooth Audio area is where you want to be. This is a super easy setup that only takes seconds to pair the devices. As you can see from the picture below, I was able to pair my Beats Flex headphones with my Nintendo Switch.
Players will need to know some details about using headphones. These where taken from the Nintendo Switch support site.
-
Only one Bluetooth audio device can be paired at a time, but up to 10 devices can be saved on a Nintendo Switch system.
-
Bluetooth microphones cannot be used.
-
You may experience audio latency depending on your Bluetooth device.
Be aware that you can only have two wireless controllers hooked up to the Bluetooth while using headphones. At this point its only two, in the future Nintendo might be able to add more through another update. In a local wireless game Bluetooth audio will also be disabled during that time.
What is the first game that you will be playing with your Bluetooth headphones? Or what was that first game? I’m looking forward to playing some Diablo 2 Resurrected next week with Beats. Take a moment to bookmark Lordsofgaming.net to get all of your gaming news.
