Xbox just like any other ecosystem is constantly upgrading and improving its services and experience quality. This is built on the foundation of important feedback from the Xbox Insider program, that gives valuable feedback on a wide variety of features. From accessibility to new applications there is a lot of testing that goes into a new firmware update in the Xbox ecosystem. In the latest Xbox Insider update, some players will get to test out the return of Twitch live streaming integration to the Xbox dashboard as well as some other new features.
Twitch Livestream Native Functionality
Today, Xbox released the patch notes for the latest Xbox Insider Update. This is for Xbox Alpha and Alpha Skip Ahead members who will be able to download the update to their Xbox One or Series console. There are two major features that players will be able to enjoy in this update. The first is Twitch live streaming directly from your Xbox console, which means players will be able to showcase their gameplay directly from their console. This will be done without having to use any external capture devices or a PC to stream. Additionally you will not need to install the Twitch app in order to use this feature.
“Insiders can try out live streaming to Twitch by navigating to the “Capture and Share” tab and choosing “Live streaming”. They’ll then need to link a Twitch account using a mobile device or using console Settings. Once the account is linked hit the “Go live now” button to start streaming gameplay to Twitch. This feature only streams gameplay so viewers will see a pause screen if the user navigates to home or another app.”
Xbox One Cloud Streaming Beta
The second major feature upgrade is the ability to stream Xbox Series games on Xbox One via the cloud. This long-talked-about feature is finally making its way to Alpha Insiders, this means that any Xbox One will be able to play Xbox Series games via the Cloud Streaming beta. This means if you have been itching to play an Xbox Series game but are not able to secure either a Series X or Series S. You will be able to play a variety of select Xbox Series titles on your Xbox One, such as The Ascent and many more.
