MLB The Show 22 Announced, Coming To Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation

PlayStation has officially announced MLB The Show 22 for all three consoles. On April 5th, The Show 22 will launch on PlayStation, Xbox, Xbox Game Pass, and for the first time ever, Nintendo Switch. MLB AL MVP Shohei Ohtani will grace the cover of the game this year. 

Sony is sticking with their next-gen $10 tax again this year, even for Xbox users. Something rarely seen, MLB The Show 22 will not support Smart Delivery. Xbox Series console owners will have to pay an additional $10 for the upgraded version. Of course, there will still be the option to play the game from Xbox Game Pass. All three platforms will support cross-play, cross-save, and cross-progression. 

On Wednesday, February 2nd, the Collectors Edition(s) will be announced. It will feature “Dual Entitlement” also known as Smart Delivery on the Xbox platforms. It is unclear if the Switch and Xbox versions of the game will receive a Collectors Edition.
