Calling all Overwatch girlies. It is your time to shine. This year welcomed a new era of collaborations with Blizard IP. Family properties, like Diablo 4, and Modern Warfare 2 are expected. On the other hand, Overwatch 2 branches out to other fandoms like anime and now K-pop. Its latest crossover shines a light on the K-pop group, LE SSERAFIM.

LE SSERAFIM is an all-girl, K-pop group from South Korea. Their newest release, “Perfect Night,” features a skin collaboration with five Overwatch 2 characters to match the group members. The music video shows the girls of Overwatch 2 having a night out to catch a LE SSERAFIM concert. Subsequently, the skins from the music video serve as the focal point for the game’s new event.

Blizzard celebrates LE SSERAFIM and all things K-pop today. Players can take part in the limited-time “Concert Clash” mode. It is a spin on the usual 3v3 capture-the-flag mode. Completing the associated event challenges can earn rewards including the LE SERRAFIM fan Junkrat skin.

Additionally, players can become part of LE SSERAFIM with the new skin bundle. This features skins for Tracer, Sombra, D.Va, Kiriko, and Brigitte (which comprise a normal 2-2-2 team comp). However, players must pay a little extra to gain fame and celebrity status like a K-pop idol.

The Price of Fame

Blizzard increased the amount of premium coins inside their bundles a day before this event launched. Assumingly, this was to prepare for the pricier tag associated with the skins. Each character bundle comes with the legendary skin, name card, victory pose, and emote. On the other hand, a bundle with all of them included along with a weapon charm is available for purchase.

Yet, this bundle is essentially $50 in the U.S. Thus, you must pay this amount if you want every cosmetic the event is showcasing. Individual character bundles are not better off being roughly $25. Note there are only $20 coin bundles awarding 2,200. Previously, the Diablo 4 crossover bundle for Pharah and Moira sparked conversation surrounding expensive cosmetics. LE SSERAFIM is the most expensive to date.

The LE SSERAFIM event skins will be live until November 20. The skins will presumably be vaulted until further notice like the One-Punch Man skins. Lastly, the K-pop group will be performing live at BlizzCon this Saturday. What are your thoughts on Blizzard’s latest collab? Let us know down below. For all things Overwatch 2, remember to bend the knee in the realm of Lords of Gaming.
