Tonight, during Geoff Keighley’s Game Awards show, a new trailer for the highly anticipated Whispers in the Walls expansion for Warframe played. This trailer was presented by Creative Director Rebecca Ford, and it revealed the release date for the upcoming expansion. That being next week on December 13th. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming expansion.
Details on Whispers in the Walls for Warframe
Whispers in the Walls will kick off the new cinematic story arc for Warframe. The trailer showed off all new gameplay and cinematic shots with appearances of Arthur, voiced by Ben Starr. With all new dialogue from Albrecht Entrati. As well as featuring a new character, Fibonacci, the leader of the new Cavia syndicate, voiced by Neil Newbon. Whispers in the Walls will take players to an all-new mixed tile set called the Entrati Labs. A mix of the laboratory that Albrecht Entrati spent most of his days in. While also splicing in a concrete, desert-like zone within the void.
There will be an all-new player hub called The Sanctuary. Where players can encounter the real Loid and gaze upon one of the two Vessels resting in the main hub. The Vessels are giant white golems whose purpose will be discovered in the Quest for Whispers in the Walls.
The quest will take roughly an hour and a half. But will also let players experience some of Warframe: 1999. There will also be three new game modes, and a new game-changing melee rework that will “Tennokai”. Tennokai will allow players to use heavy swings more quickly while also using regular melee attacks.
In addition to all of this, there will be a new Grimoire secondary weapon with unique functions. The 55th warframe, Qorvex. As well as an expansion on the Necramech faction, and a new nightmarish enemy faction called “The Murmur”.
Whispers in the Walls will be free, similar to all playable content in Warframe. Releasing simultaneously on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Steam, Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 4|5.
