Patch 14.10 of Teamfight Tactics shipped on May 15th, 2024. According to Mortdog’s patch rundown, the meta is in a decent place. Thus, patch 14.10 is not intended to change the meta as much as previous patches. However, there are still plenty of changes to be aware of. For starters, the overall amount of health in the game is now lower. In addition, many of the new items added in patch 14.9 have been buffed. Finally, reroll comps in general are getting a little bit stronger. These are some of the biggest changes brought by patch 14.10 of Teamfight Tactics.
Less Health
One notable change on patch 14.10 of Teamfight Tactics is less overall health. Mortdog says that there is too much health in the game. Thus, patch 14.10 addresses that problem with some targeted nerfs. For shields, the Umbral shield is nerfed at the four and six trait levels. Additionally, Yasuo’s Fated shield bonus drops by 50. Also, most four-cost champions lose some of their hit points (HP). Between these changes, frontline in general will hopefully be more reasonable.
Artifacts and Support Items
Another notable change on patch 14.10 is buffs to many items added last patch. While Talisman of Ascension was nerfed in a B-Patch, most artifacts launched in a good spot. Now, some of the weaker artifacts are getting buffed. Similarly, three of the support items added last patch are now stronger as well. Hopefully these buffs help equalize the power across the items. Since players never get a full selection, having fewer “bad” items should make for a better experience.
Reroll Comps
A third change to note on patch 14.10 is some slight help to reroll comps. For starters, the Mythic trait’s base attack damage (AD) and ability power (AP) is increased at all trait levels. Two of the main reroll carries, Kog’Maw and Bard, are Mythic champions. While the buff is slight, it should help both reroll comps. The Sniper trait is also getting a small buff. The damage per hex is now higher at all trait levels. Kog’Maw and Aphelios are two main reroll carries that are both Snipers. Once again, this slight buff should help both reroll comps. Between these slight buffs and the nerfs to frontline, hopefully reroll comps get the push they need to compete with the best comps in the meta.
Summary
While patch 14.10 of Teamfight Tactics brings many changes, no one change is large by itself. Instead, each of the changes nudges things slightly in a better direction. The above changes are among the most notable changes on patch 14.10. They are not, however, the only changes. It should also be noted that a B-Patch shipped on May 16th, 2024.
