Warframe Devshorts 17 Breakdown

At the start of this year, Digital Extremes started a new weekly show called “Devshorts“. This new show is aimed at keeping the Warframe and Soulframe communities up to date with what they are working on. This show premiers every Tuesday, with CEO of Digital Extremes Steve Sinclair and Creative Director Rebecca Ford. It also only runs for fifteen minutes on the dot, and they just wrapped up with the seventeenth episode today. Here is everything they talked about!

Devshorts 17 for Warframe Breakdown

This week’s Devshorts was more of a preparation stream for this week’s Devstream 180. There was a lot of little things they are looking into right now, but here are some of the highlights:

  • They reiterated on the fact that players should not expect any new hotfixes for Warframe until Jade Shadows launches next month.
  • Two of the bugs they have confirmed that will be fixed in the Jade Shadows update. This will include the problem that prevents you from exiting archwing underwater. As well as inconsistent color mapping for VFX heavy ephemeras and other cosmetics. No specific examples were given for those.
  • When brought up in the chat, Steve did relay he wants to add the new FSR frame generation tech into Warframe, and potentially Soulframe. But he cannot commit to that right now.
  • They also brought up that Devstream 180 will be the final one until after TennoCon 2024.
  • Heirlooms and their future will be talked about during Devstream 180.
  • Finally, Soulframe Preludes will have its own section on the Devstream. Potentially going over new content or what to expect from it at TennoCon 2024.

But that wraps up everything from this week’s Devshorts for Warframe. Devstream 180 will take place on Friday, and we here at Lords of Gaming will be around to cover the full stream. If you would like to catch the full Devshorts 17 stream for any minute details or shenanigans, you can do so here.
