Unlike Modern Warfare IIIBlack Ops 6 is a different series within the Call of Duty franchise. The latter is being handled by Treyarch Studios. As a result, this title does not offer any carry-forward for Multiplayer. The developers had this to say from their blog:

We want to make sure that everybody starts fresh, together, as we move into an all-new experience with the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6… Therefore, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III content will not carry forward to the Black Ops 6 Premium experience.

The Woods Operator Pack from preordering the “Vault Edition” is the only exception. The operator pack is immediately available in Warzone and Modern Warfare III multiplayer upon preordering. However, all Warzone content and operators currently available inside the mode WILL carry forward with the new title update of Warzone.

Should I Preorder?

This question is entirely dependent on the game modes you enjoy inside Call of Duty. Players who primarily play Multiplayer may want to refrain from preordering at the moment. This is especially true if you are attached to certain operators.

However, Warzone players have nothing to fear. All of your content shall remain and be joined by new Black Ops content. Subsequently, subscribers to Xbox Gamepass Ultimate have the option to enjoy the new entry with no additional purchase required. Subscribers can upgrade to the Vault Edition for an additional fee if they wish; additionally, Treyarch studios teased more preorder incentives leading up to the launch of the game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches on October 25. Preorders of any edition, including Gamepass subscribers, grant players access to the beta before launch. Treyarch Studios showed much enthusiasm with this new entry and working with other studios under the Xbox umbrella. Stay tuned for our coverage of how it lands.
