Yesterday, the official Warframe Twitter account released a small video detailing upcoming changes for Ember. This video featured the game’s design director, Pablo Alonso, and the changes sound very hot. Here is a small breakdown of the changes, confirmed to be arriving with Jade Shadows, the next major update on the 18th this month.
Small Breakdown of the Upcoming Ember Changes in Warframe
For starters, they will be improving her first ability:
- Fireball will now no longer need to be held for the full effect.
- The base range of it will be going from 2 meters to three 3 meters.
- The energy cost will also be getting in half from 50 to 25.
- A guaranteed heat proc will activate on AoE damage, not just direct damage.
They are also improving her second ability to cost 10 energy per second at maximum heat, to just 4 energy per second. As well as reducing the energy cost of her third ability from 75 to 25 when at maximum heat. Her third ability will also gain better hit detection to make it more reliable at stripping armor.
Finally, Pablo also went over some changes her augments will receive in Warframe:
- Healing Flame will now grant overguard when allies are at max health.
- And Purifying Flames will remove status effects from you as well.
But that was everything from the short video, and the changes sound very impactful for her. She has mostly been a “spam ultimate” warframe due to her exothermic mod.
