As a huge fan of Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, and other adult animation shows, I was thrilled to discover that Hulu was hosting an offsite event at San Diego Comic-Con this year. Hulu had transformed one of the downtown hotels into a vibrant showcase featuring Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, and more. I was particularly excited to learn that it was Family Guy‘s 25th anniversary.
Highlights of Hulu Animayhem at San Diego Comic-Con 2024
Hulu Animayhem began with an interactive experience where visitors could pick a random object that played a clip from Family Guy. Next, we entered a Solar Opposites-themed area, which humorously assessed our stress levels and handed out stress toys. We also tackled a challenge involving rebuilding Roger from American Dad—an endeavor that humorously ended with Roger’s demise and our failed attempt to revive him.
The journey continued into The Simpsons area, where we were welcomed with green donuts and green lemonade. These were some of the standout features of Hulu Animayhem 2024. At the end of the offsite, attendees could choose between Solar Opposites or Futurama pins and also receive a Hulu-themed fanny pack. Check out the video below for a walkthrough of the offsite setup.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Hulu Animayhem was well-executed. Access to the event was smooth and easily located just outside the convention center, near the Hilton. The offsite offered a range of engaging experiences and generous free swag. Hulu did a good job this year.
