As a huge Batman movie fan, I was thrilled to discover that Max was hosting an Offsite event at San Diego Comic-Con this year. They truly went all out with the immersion, creating an experience that rivals the Rise of the Resistance ride at Disney World. This event made you feel like you were stepping into the Penguin’s Lounge in Gotham.

Highlights of The Penguin’s Iceberg Lounge Experience at SDCC

The Penguin Lounge offered a variety of experiences, including two free alcoholic drinks and a hot dog from a food stand. Upon entering, you descend in an elevator to begin the experience. There are two bars within the lounge, but gaining access to the hidden bar requires knowing the secret password. A security guard blocks the door, and you can gain entry by providing the password—found on the napkins. The password was “Francis.” Once inside, you’re greeted by a cigar stand where experts craft cigars right in front of you based on your preferences. The lounge also featured a photo op, another bar, and three different whiskey tastings.

Final Thoughts on The Penguin Louge – San Diego Comic-Con 2024

Overall, the immersion aspect was outstanding. I would even say it surpasses Disney’s efforts in creating an immersive experience where the attendee feels like they are transported into that world If you’re a Batman fan attending SDCC, I highly recommend trying to get into Max’s offsite events. Don’t forget to check out The Penguin, premiering on September 8th this year on Max.

Note – Thank you Max for providing Lords of Gaming with a pass to this experience.
