As a longtime gamer, I was thrilled to learn that IGN would be hosting its annual SDCC Party at the Hard Rock Hotel. When I heard that it was presented by Zenless Zone Zero, I knew I had to find a way to attend. With only around 100 tickets available to the public, I was incredibly grateful to receive an invite from IGN to cover the event this year.
Highlights of the IGN SDCC Party
The IGN After Party took place on the rooftop of the Hard Rock Hotel in downtown San Diego. The venue featured several arcade machines and fun photo opportunities. Attendees could collect stickers from various areas, and gathering five stickers earned them a raffle ticket for three exciting giveaways. The event also boasted live music and an open bar with themed drinks inspired by Zenless Zone Zero. Hoyoverse, the sponsor and developer behind popular games like Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero, added to the event’s vibrant atmosphere. It was a fantastic opportunity to network with industry professionals and make new friends.
Final Thoughts
IGN truly outdid themselves this year with their party. The event was well-organized and easy to navigate, with a stunning rooftop view overlooking the convention center. It was an unforgettable experience; I hope to receive another invitation next year to reconnect with the friends I made.
