Devstream 188 has just wrapped up at PAX East and showcased a lot of exciting content for both of Digital Extremes ongoing games. For the Soulframe crowd, you got a glimpse at some of the content coming in Preludes 10. As well as a brief teaser of what to expect at TennoCon 2025. While on the other hand, the Warframe community got a glimpse at a lot of new exciting content and cosmetics. From a new warframe, a return to Duviri, and an exciting event for Soulframe, here is everything from Devstream 188!
Soulframe Preludes 10 Reveals
During the Soulframe segment, they showed off some gameplay for the Mote system for weapons coming in Preludes 10. The example they showed was a Frost Mote that froze an enemy in place, allowing for a quick kill. They also talked about what to expect with the event launching in Preludes 10. The “Festival of the Circade” event will launch alongside a new procedurally generated dungeon tileset. There will also be new bosses to take down for rewards.

There was also a small glimpse at a new world boss. “The Tired King” carries a giant ethereal sword and belongs to a new faction coming to the game, and can be found in some of the areas of Midrath Island. They did not say when Preludes 10 was going to launch, but they did say it will be this month. More in-depth details on Preludes 10 can be found in our Devstream 7 breakdown here.
Finally, before moving onto the Warframe segment, they showed off a new trailer for the game. Including gameplay of the new caster staff weapon, the new secondary weapons and a small tease of what will be shown at TennoCon 2025.
Yareli Prime Splashes into Warframe on May 21st
The worst kept secret from Digital Extremes was Yareli Prime being next in line. There was a brief teaser trailer over a week ago that showed a bubbly heart, basically giving it away. But in this reveal they did confirm she will be launching on May 21st. She will be arriving with the Kompressa Prime and Daikyu Prime. Her Prime Accessories bundle will come with a Syandana and Ephemera, as well as a Domestik Drone.
May 21st will also come with a few more goodies. Including the Kullervo Deluxe skin which got a cool new image reveal during the stream. As well as the quality-of-life improvements announced during Devstream 187.

Next Major Update, Isleweaver Announced During Devstream 188
Something that was subtly teased during Devstream 187 was a new Duviri mumur enemy, indicating a return to that game mode. During Devstream 188, we got a look at the next major update involving Duviri launching in June, called Isleweaver. This update will have a bit of story cotinuity involving Warframe: 1999 as well. This means you will have finished that story before you can play it, and that is because Isleweaver revolves around Neci Rusalka taking Thrax’s throne.
This means there will be a few twists coming to The Duviri Paradox. First, there will be a separate node for this update in the Duviri menu that stays after the upcoming event. The first twist will be that you will be able to play in Duviri as a warframe instead of just the Drifter. There will be either new areas, or a new zone with the Murmur faction invading. As mentioned previously, when this update goes live there will be a new Clan event called “Operation Eight Claw”.

In Operation Eight Claw you will have to work Dominus Thrax, and progressing in the event will unlock various rewards, like a new Signa. They mentioned you will also be able to earn Pathos Clamps during this event, on top of potential returning clan event rewards. You can find Thrax in the Dormizone, who will also serve as your guide in the update specific Duviri node. This update will also include the next warframe, Oraxia.
The Spiderframe is Real
The 61st warframe is coming to the game with Isleweaver. You will earn her from the update specific node, Oraxia, the spiderframe will be a mini-boss to take on.

Not much was talked about her aside from her having an ability that lets her crawl on walls and having a signature tenno-themed Whip. Considering this was the last Devstream before TennoCon, any new info will be detailed before Isleweaver launches in June.
Valkyr Rework and Heirloom
During the stream, Pablo took over for one of his fantastic breakdowns of the next warframe rework. Valkyr will getting the rework treatment with some honestly cool changes that are coming with Isleweaver:
- Her Passive will now build up melee damage increases that boosts her Hysteria claws. After a certain percentage is built up, she can avoid being downed.
- Her zipline will work faster when being used on surfaces. As well as grouping enemies and knocking them down when you use it on a foe.
- War Cry is now recastable, and no longer roots you in place when being used.
- Paralysis adds melee damage increase debuff to enemies and no longer takes away shields.
- Finally, Hysteria no longer makes Valkyr invulnerable, but her claws do more damage in general on top of the passive and now heal her when attacking. The trade off here is that the detonation effect is being removed.
On top of this breakdown during Devstream 188, they also showed off a very tantalizing new Heirloom skin for her, which will be releasing July 21st.

Finally to cap off the stream they went over a myriad of New Player experience changes and Quality-of-life Improvements.
A List of Changes coming with Isleweaver from Devstream 188
Below will be the quality-of-life improvements mentioned in the stream:
- More Protoframe Conversations with the Hex members (Arthur, Aoi, Leticia, Quincy, Amir and Eleanor)
- Incarnon Shop changes (no details announced during the stream)
- Dojo and Captura changes, only Captura’s changes got mentioned and it was revolving around allowing a radial wheel to be used to select new scenes while in a Captura.
- New Operator/Drifter hair from Flare, Minerva, Velimir and Kaya.
- Melee Slam will now have a radius dependent on how far you were from the ground before you slammed.
- Ambassador is getting buffed.
- Corrupted Holokeys will be easier to get.

Below be will the changes to the new player experience:
- The route to get to 1999’s story will be easier.
- The showcased rework for Vor’s boss fight is coming, alongside reworks for enemies such as Baliffs, Ballistas and Eviscerators.
- Junctions will be getting reworked. Arbitrations will get unlocked from finishing all Junctions now.
- Railjack difficulty is getting tuned, especially for The New War.
- Rhino build cost changes (no details during the stream).
- Finally, plants for the Silver Grove tonics will be a pick up instead of scanning (my personal favorite change).

But before they left they did show off two new skins, one was Citrine’s deluxe skin in game, and an upcoming Vauban heirloom skin (sorry Excalibur fans!).
However, this was everything from Devstream 188. If you would like to watch the full stream for any minute details, you can find it on their official YouTube channel here (Ben Starr even makes an appearance!)
