Warframe: Valkyr Build and Post Rework Review

I am not a Valkyr main, so seeing the discourse surrounding her rework in Isleweaver has been interesting. A lot of people, myself included, like the more cohesive and fun-focused changes to her kit. On the other side of the aisle, many who mained her in Warframe hated the removal of her invulnerability with her exalted ability. With all of that said, is she more fun to use now with the right build that can still keep her alive? Let’s find out!

Valkyr Build in Warframe

Below will be our build for Valkyr, this can be applied to her normal and prime variants, but you need at least one forma for it:

Warframe Valkyr Build

For starters, this is going to take a lot of work to get the listed arcanes. But Arcane Grace and Reaper work like a dream with her. Both of them adding passive health regen helps immensely with Adaptation, picking up the slack with resistances. Everything else is just a standard mix of power strength, and range, with some efficiency and duration thrown into the mix for good measure.

Below will be our recommended build for her claws, which you will need no forma for unless you want to add a Tennokai mod for her:

This build is nothing special, but a big focus on critical chance and damage with Melee duplicate is a no-brainer for them.

Below will be the Archon Shards I have chosen for her, which you can change out for any other options as they are purely for flavor:

Also, go for Unairu with her for the extra armor and poise on demand.

With all of this out of the way, is she still that dangerous and tanky warframe before the rework?

Valkyr Post Rework Review

She is, by all accounts, in every endgame activity I have used her in, including Steel Path and Archon Hunts, still comically strong. I still do not understand the grappling hook, but her war cry and paralyze are much more useful and fluid to use in the hectic gameplay. Obviously, for her exalted form, she can still go down, but not as often as you’d think. Considering the fact that there is a melee damage build passive that can be a free “get out of death” card on demand, similar to Dagath.

I think the controversy is overblown, but despite all of that, Valkyr is still very much useful in Warframe. She is much more fun to use, and her kit flows well with a group despite being the heavy hitter (beyond reasonable measure).
