How does Kiln’s PvP actually work? (Kiln Beginner Tips Overview)
Kiln actually does a solid job teaching its basics through the tutorial. The problem is not understanding what to do. It is applying those systems when matches get chaotic.

1. Kiln Tips – Check Your Stats efore You Leave
When you’re on the circle making your pot, make sure to check your stats before you send it to the kiln. Be sure to consider if you want to have more water to put out the kiln faster or higher HP to be more tanky. It comes down to your build and play style.
2. Check Your Abilities Before Each Run
While you are still checking things on the circle, check your abilities as well. This will help you figure out which skill you want to use during a match.
3. Play Kiln like a MOBA
Make no mistake, Kiln is actually a MOBA more so than a brawler. There are lanes, roles, and abilities. So treat the game as such. It is good to stick to a role if needed. Especially if you want to play a specific role like a defender, be sure to examine the field and fill a role needed by your team.
4. Aim at Enemies When Respawning
Aim at enemies when respawning in. Use it strategically and aim at enemies threatening your kiln. Hopefully, you can smash down on enemies as you respawn.
5. Use Sponge Defense to Block Enemies
If you see those small spores or beans in the group, pouring water on them will grow them, creating a barrier. This is great if you want to box out some rowdy pots. Knowing the map is really helpful here because you can force enemies down particular paths, limiting attack vectors and/or setting up ambushes.
6. Roll to Escape and Stay Alive
If you feel stuck when getting attacked, try rolling to escape. Rolling helps you get out of pressure and resets your position during fights.
7. Focus on the Main Objective
Eyes on the prize, soldier! Make sure to stay focused on the objective. You need to fill up your vessel with water and take it to the other side to douse the enemy kiln while protecting your own. This means strategizing the most efficient path to dowsing the enemy’s kiln. Remember, the enemy has the same objective, so strategize accordingly.
