Madden NFL 20 & Nintendo Switch Remain On Top Of August NPD

The latest videogame console and hardware results have arrived courtesy of NPD Group analyst Mat Piscatella.

For the month of August, the Nintendo Switch was again the best selling console for the month.  While Madden NFL 20 was once again the best selling software title of August.

Overall sales growth breakdown per August NPD results:

• Total: $666 million (Down from August 2018)
• Hardware: $167 million (Down from $214 million August 2018)
• Software: $257 million (Down from $341 million August 2018)
• Accessories and Game Cards: $242 million (Down from $256 million August 2018)
