Godzilla vs Kong Domestic Release Gets Pushed Back
With the recent trailer being released plenty of people are showing some excitement for Godzilla vs Kong. That excitement actually has done something to the domestic release date. It is now being pushed back a little.
Godzilla vs Kong will now be released on March 31st instead of March 26th. What this does is push the release date closer to the Easter holiday and hopefully more open theaters. This isn’t actually that big of a deal for most of us. It’s just fine to push back one of the biggest movies of the year. The movie will still have a worldwide release on March 26th. This also pushed back the HBO Max release as well, since it is tied in with a theatrical release.
The trailer for Godzilla vs Kong which was an exciting preview of what’s to come has broken some Warner Bros records. These records were smashed as 15.8 million views happened in the first 24 hours on the companies Youtube page. Along with 9.8 million that includes the studio’s other pages. A whopping 25.6 million views happened in the first 24 hours.
The Batman actually had the most with 22 million views. It was no match for this action-packed trailer. Dune was able to get 20.8 million during its run. Warner Bros should be very proud of these movies and the records they keep breaking. Speaking of the domestic release for Godzilla vs Kong. The movie only has to gross a little more than $47 million to beat the opening for Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Given that most theaters are still closed, this might be an impossible feat.
While this does suck for the fans like me who were excited to see the movie on March 26th. It really isn’t the end of the world. If you have yet to watch the trailer we have that here for you to enjoy. Also, take a look at the start of the trailer. What’s that metal monster jumping out of that mountain?
