Massive Work Studios Dolmen is a mixed bag but the game is tough as nails. But don’t worry, we have your back. ILP’s ver own Lord Gaming Addict sat down with LOGNET to provide a comprehensive guide to help you overcome any boss the game throws at you.

Dementula

Dolmen boss carcass

The very first boss is a simple fight.

Attack Patterns

Dementula will spawn some mobs, best deal with them first to get them out of the way.

It will also try to poison you with venomous attacks.

Dementula has only one unblockable jump attack. The indicator will pop up. As soon as it jumps, move behind it and deal some damage. Eventually, you can stagger Dementula and rip it a new one.

The boss also does a spin attack that is easy to see coming. Be sure to dodge out of the way.

Stay behind its attacks and get in a few hits. Don’t worry you can get in multiple hits, especially when it’s staggered but don’t overdo it.

Dolmen Boss Guide – Ancient Soldier & Ranger

Dolmen tips Ancient Soldier

Next, on the Dolmen boss guide is a two-for-one endeavor. You might be shocked when you first encounter them but don’t worry. We got a game plan to help you ensure victory.

Ancient Soldier – Attack Patterns

The Ancient Soldier floats around the room and unleashes a dash attack.

You can trap him into the wall and kill him (keep in mind this tactic is a glitch that could get patched).

He will do an AOE attack and does a dash attack at you if you’re not close to him so it’s best to keep some distance.

The Ancient Soldier will put up a red barrier that will repel your gunshots.

Best Time to Attack

When he does his dash ability that’s the best time to hit him but not the ideal.

Lure him into one of the gravity traps in the room and go into reactor mode and dish out the punishment as he won’t be able to move at all for a few seconds.

Use columns to your advantage to maneuver and get away from him.

Best Time to Heal

The best time to heal up is when the Ancient Soldier does the ice AOE attack or when he dashes at you.

You can also heal when he’s in a gravity trap.

Ancient Ranger

Next on our two-for-one boss fight is the Ancient Ranger. But don’t worry he isn’t too bad, given if you conserved some batteries for emergency healing.

Attack Pattern

He throws a drone, it self-destructs when it’s next to you. Use the column to shield yourself and hit it before it reaches you.

The Ranger will roam around and shoots you over and over. He will keep a distance from you.

His second phase kicks in when his health reaches 50%. The Ranger changes up his attack patterns a bit.

He will begin unleashing a fire AOE attack on you and will be more aggressive in general.

The Ranger also begins dispatching two drones instead of one when his health reaches 25%.

Best Time to Heal

You can heal behind pillars where he can’t see you. Though he will continue to shoot the pillar. Keep in mind that the pillars are not destructible, so feel free to sit back a bit.

Best Time to Attack

If he shoots too many times, the Ranger gets exhausted and falls down. At this moment, be sure to use an ice reactor to deal some damage.

Dolmen Boss Guide – Queen Caniptei

Dolmen boss guide Queen

This encounter begins with her behind a wall of tentacles. This prevents you from getting closer to Queen Caniptei.

Attack Patterns

She will throw a couple of tentacles at you. Be sure to kill all the tentacles before you start the next engagement.

After that, Queen Caniptei has one of two abilities based on our playthrough. But be warned she may possess more.

She will throw tentacles at you where you are. So be on the move at all times.

Tentacles will eventually hit you, so you will have to sprint a lot. You might have to wait a bit to refill your stamina bar refills before running again.

To avoid Queen Caniptei’s attack, run around in circles so you do not run out of room. The tentacles should stay behind you.

Queen Caniptei’s second attack is an attack that will be indicated by black spots. These spots are a tell right before the tentacles spike up from the ground. Be warned that these tentacles will also spin around, causing an AOE attack, and will kill you with one hit.

The best way to avoid this attack is to go into the middle of the arena and look around to see where there are no black spots. Quickly move to this location in order to avoid the attack.

Both of these attacks will kill you with one hit. You have to dodge both attacks perfectly in order to survive.

Queen Caniptei will also unleash left and right swipes attacks at you. Players can dash into attack in the same direction they’re coming into to avoid getting hit.

She will put all the tentacles up together and slap individual tentacles at you. This attack won’t kill you but does a lot of damage. To avoid this attack, be sure to continuously move left and right.

The Queen will put all her tentacles together in one area and slap you. This is a one-hit kill so avoid it at all costs!

Lastly, Queen Caniptei puts all tentacles close to her and reaches out to you.

Best Strategy to Deal with Queen Caniptei

The tentacles that spawn will begin damaging her.

Between her two abilities, be sure to shoot Queen Caniptei in the face with your gun. This will help get the boss battle over with faster.

She will repeat those two sets of moves until she takes enough damage (until she reaches 60-75% of her health).

After you chip away Queen Caniptei’s health, the tentacles that protected her will disappear. Instead, she will pull you close to her and surround you with a ring of fire. She will constantly try to push you into the fire.

When the Queen reduces the size of the arena, she will try to bite you.

Best Time to Attack

When she does her all tentacle attack, the Queen will get exhausted for a few seconds. You can land in a few hits, but don’t get greedy because she will get back up before you realize it.

Try to dodge and get behind her and get a couple of hits after she tries to bite you. Keep in mind during this arena fire stage, every time she hits you she will try to push you into the fire, so be careful!

Dolmen Boss Guide – Ferronightmare

Dolmen boss guide ferronightmare

The Ferronightmare’s element is acid. So you can prep ahead of time and get some ice-based weapons to help bring the pain.

Attack Patterns

The Ferronightmare has three primary attacks: an AOE attack, a beam attack, and a ramming dash attack.

Once the Ferronightmare takes enough damage he starts flying around. During this phase, he starts shooting lines of AOE attacks at you from the air.

There are parts on the map that have nests. There are five of them in total. The Ferronightmare will come to these and he will heal himself. They are destructible, be sure to destroy them all as soon as possible!

Finesse Strategy

Be sure to stay on one of the pillars that has one of the nests.

Hit the Ferronightmare a couple of times and be sure to avoid his AOE attack. Then, head over to another nest area and shoot him with a gun over and over again.

Doing so gives you plenty of room to shoot him and avoid his air attacks.

The Feronnightmare has a clear tell before one of his attacks. He will begin to flicker then it will unleash its beam attack. The Feronnightmare repeats this like clockwork, so be on the lookout.

Then after the beam move, the Feronnightmare will do an AOE attack or a bite move. So run to another nesting area on the map.

Zallan Kheep

Dolmen boss

Next up on the LOGNET Dolmen Boss Guide is Zallan Kheep.

Attack Patterns

Zallan starts off with him walking at you and occasionally, he will teleport behind you.

Kheep will use his elemental swords to slash you in a vertical motion.

You can dodge a lot of his moves, just remain attentive and vigilant.

Once you get him to 75% of his health bar, Zallan Kheep will pierce his swords into the ground and will glow pink. When he does this, he will start charging up his elemental swords and they will do a lot of damage if they hit you.

Zallan Kheep does a teleport attack and he will come out of nowhere sometimes. The timing is different every time he does this attack, so best to keep dodging. Otherwise, he will kill you if he gets you with the entire combo.

Always make sure you got a tiny bit of stamina left in case you need to roll away quickly.

When he starts disappearing, rotate the camera and run around until you spot him emerging back, and roll away quickly.

Best Time  to Attack

Bring a gun you’re comfortable with and shoot him with the light attack and avoid the gun’s heavy attack.

You can reload once you get some distance from him.

Attack him after Zallan Kheep does his teleport attack. Keep in mind you will lose the lock after he teleports. Keep doing this until his second phase after he glows pink.

Another good time to attack is after his dash ability attack.

Eventually, Zallan Kheep will jump up and glow pink, then he will follow up with a dash attack. You can easily move out of the way.

You can hit him when he’s charging his swords, but it’s risky.

Best time to Heal

The best way to heal during this boss fight is to bait him to the other side of the map and run back and use one of the batteries.

Lobodja

Next on the Dolmen boss guide, we have Lobodja.

Attack Patterns

Lobodja starts out by jumping straight at you. Wait until he jumps and dash out of the way.

He stretches his arm and swipes at you. If you get close he will try to hit you with crystals.

Lobodja will do his jump attack when you get a little distance between him. It is easy to dodge.

He also has a charge attack.

If you make him hit a pillar during a jump attack he will get staggered and fall to the ground.

Once you get Lobodja’s health down to 50%, he begins to glow pink. He becomes more aggressive, and cooldowns between his attacks are reduced.

Lobodja will also begin throwing projectile blobs at you. The moment you see his left arm go down, dash out of the way immediately to avoid the projectiles.

Best Time to Attack

Get distance and shoot.

Make sure to keep an eye out for his jump attack.

Keep using your gun and that will kill him.

Best Time to Heal

After Lobodja’s jump or charge attacks.

Cheeseable Strategy

Luckily, players can also cheese Lobodja. You can strafe around one of the central units and shoot him with your gun. Keep your distance at all times and keep strafing. Yes, it is a time-consuming but foolproof way to beat him.

General Vesib

By far this is the toughest boss in the Dolmen boss guide.

The General hits like a tank and has high defense.

Memorize attack patterns and look for openings.

Some of his combos vary between 1 and 2 hits so be careful.

2nd phase sees his hammer move between portals. If it catches you, it does a lot of damage. Be sure to keep one eye on it at all times while fighting him.

Best Time to Attack

When he dives down from the sky at you is a good chance to land a hit.

Tharvus Kheep

This is it, the final boss in our Dolmen boss guide. Surprisingly, it is a pretty straightforward fight.

Tharvus has predictable attacks. Once you learn them, he’s easy to deal with.

Manage your stamina well and be mindful when he starts shooting lightning arrows at you.
