Persona 4 Revival Gameplay and Persona 6 Revealed at Xbox Games Showcase

The Xbox Games Showcase was stacked with many reveals and exciting trailers. From Fable, Gears, and even Spyro (somehow), there was a little bit of everything, especially for JRPG lovers. This is because Atlus took center stage for not just one, but two reveals at the showcase. The first official reveal of gameplay for Persona 4 Revival and the announcement of Persona 6 (yes, you read right!). Here is everything we know so far from the two trailers!

What we Know About Persona 4 Revival and Persona 6

For starters, they showed that Persona 4 Revival is going to be on par with the recent Persona 3 Reload remake, with, of course, different stylistic touches. With all new anime cutscenes, in-game moments, and the additions of the Baton Pass mechanic and what appears to be the theurgy system as well. They also showed that Marie will be in the game from the Golden content, so no story DLC will be sold separately.

They also revealed multiple editions for Persona 4 Revival, including a collector’s edition. You can find all of those details on the official page here.

Later on in the show, they also revealed the next installment for the Persona franchise, Persona 6. This reveal was ominous and had very little to go on. The trailer was very creepy and dark with a green tint to it. When the game went up on the Xbox store, there were details outlined in the product description. With one part catching the internet’s attention, which was:

Navigate the rhythms of everyday school life and build friendships, pursue romance, and cultivate memories that matter. But beneath the surface of familiar streets and quiet neighborhoods lies something darker: strange rumors, unsettling urban legends, and occult incidents that only you and your closest allies can face.

Both games will be launched on all platforms aside from the Nintendo Switch 1|2. So expect to play Persona 4 Revival on February 18th on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5. As well as Persona 6 sometime in the future on the same consoles.
