On Saturday, September 10th, Ubisoft held a digital showcase covering all of its upcoming games. Among them comes a new look at Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. The strategy game is set within the Mario universe and is the follow-up to 2017’s Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Sparks of Hope launches next month on October 20th.
With that, in today’s coverage, we get the first look at gameplay. In what appears to be the game’s first boss fight the team takes on an angry runaway Wiggler. While the game retains its turn-based strategy elements, this boss fight is a welcome change from the combat of the first game. The gameplay has a higher level of action and moves at a faster pace.
Following the gameplay trailer, Ubisoft announced its post-launch plans. The season pass is going to include three DLC campaigns following the launch of the game. One of the DLC campaigns will add Rayman as a playable character to the team.
