There are a few new foes to take down in The Duviri Paradox. However, while they may seem easy to take down initially. They all have unique functions to them that make them devastating in groups with an order in which you should take them down. Here is a handy guide to understanding these new enemies. Let us take it from the top and work our way down.
How to Take Down all new foes in The Duviri Paradox
Dax Herald:
Dax Heralds have two simple attacks to keep track of. The standard melee strikes you can parry and the the beam they shoot from their polearms. If they are shooting the beams, do a quick shot with your Sirocco, then focus on that Herald before returning to other enemies.
Dax Arcus:
Dax Arcus are archers that are very deadly. Their bow shots cannot be parried so easily to deflect back to them. But if you try to close the gap they will jump back and drop deadly mines. I recommend taking shots at them with your Sirocco while strafing to avoid getting hurt by them.
Dax Gladius:
Dax Gladius are the knights of the new enemy family. They will either charge you for heavy blows or stay at a distance and throw energy waves from their blade. While you are attacking them with melee they can also create a devastating area-of-effect around them. The counterplay for them is to simply parry or dodge their melee attacks and quick shot them to disrupt their ranged attacks.
Dax Malleus:
Dax Malleus are the heavy units of the new enemy family in The Duviri Paradox. Their attacks need to be dodged as the timing for parrying is too strict and they hit very hard if you do not. If they try to cast an ability, quick shot them with the Sirocco and go in for a takedown strike.
When it comes to process of elimination you should target them in this order:
- Malleus.
- Arcus.
- Gladius.
- Herald.
There are also two other enemies that can spawn. Such as the Thrax Legionnaire and Liminus. Thrax Legionnaires will have to be taken down by brute force. As well as the Liminus teleporting between attacks and hits, just melee consistently around them.
