While there are many side objectives to do in The Duviri Paradox. One main objective while doing either the Lone Story, or Duviri Experience can be defeating a certain mini-boss. The Mounted Dax Gladius can be a challenge on both normal and Steel Path variants of these game modes. Here is a quick guide to taking them down if and when you encounter them.
The Duviri Paradox Mounted Dax Gladius Guide
For starters you will be at a disadvantage against this foe since they are always on a Kaithe. So you will have to wait until they get close or try and take shots at them with your Sirocco. But this mini-boss has quite a devastating moveset to boot.
They can create area-of-effect waves that you have to jump over or dodge. They will fire homing projectiles at you. Their Kaithe can shoot a sweeping beam at you. While at random times they can jump up and land on a circle to create a rain of projectiles to avoid. It is a very hectic fight in The Duviri Paradox. But when they are stationary, it is best to close the gap and hit them with your melee as much as possible.
Every third of their health will require you to either shoot them with your Sirocco to stagger them then run up and hit X to progress the fight. Or parry them when they try to hit you with their sword. After doing this twice will initiate the final stage of the fight.
Finally, once they are dismounted they are more vulnerable. But they summon two archers for back up. Try and take them out then focus back on the mini-boss. This is one of the hardest main objectives to do in The Duviri Paradox so take your time and pay attention to their attacks.
