Yesterday, Digital Extremes launched the “Open Preludes” for Soulframe. This allows anyone to download their in-development fantasy MMORPG without an invitation. Also launching a day earlier was the newest update for the game, the “Verse of the Veilands” update, which revamps world progression, adds the long-awaited mount system to the game, and much more. Here is everything you can expect if you download the game today!
What to Expect with Soulframe Preludes 17 in Open Preludes
As mentioned before, Open Preludes for Soulframe allows anyone to go to the official website to download the game without needing a code or an invitation. This means no more waiting; you can finally play the newest game from Digital Extremes, the creators of Warframe! However, keep in mind that it will be playable only through a standalone launcher on PC and not through storefronts like Steam at this time. In Open Preludes, you can play the newest update for the game, which changes and adds a lot to the game.

The first major addition to Soulframe is the fact that you can finally ride around on a mount. You will need to complete some of the new content in the game to craft a “Bairnday Biscuit” for your wolf pup to turn it into a fully rideable mount. Also added in this update is a brand new dungeon in the form of the Mines of Borro. This is a new procedurally generated dungeon to play around with if you want to take a break from the new Veilands content. Such as the “Ode Siphons” or Bita’s Eve.

The Veilands content separates Midrath Island into 7 regions with Ode Siphons to take down after doing enough side quests to do so. Each Siphon clears out the corruption from the land, and to get your wolf mount, you will need to do 2 of these Siphons. Also in this update is Bita’s Eve, which adds a new mini-boss, a new mask to earn, and a pair of cool-looking sickles. All of this is bundled with new armor, weapons, and even a new Ode Pact with cool crowd-focused abilities.
