The Duviri Paradox launched today. Bringing with it a new story quest, new gameplay systems and a massive open world. Alongside these additions was an all-new raid-like boss battle against the “Orowyrm”. Here is how to defeat it, but your randomized loadout may vary on how you beat it.
The Duviri Paradox Orowyrm Boss Battle Guide
For starters, you need to finish your Lone Story or Duviri Experience run in The Duviri Paradox content. Afterwards you will need to collect the Orvius from Teshin’s pet. Once collected fly up to the sky, and hunt down the Orowyrm. When he tries to hit you with his fireballs, throw the Orvius at the fireball to create a vortex that boosts your flying speed.
After you get close enough to the Orowyrm use the left and right trigger buttons to attach yourself to its body.
From here, jump off each scale and rinse and repeat until you are up to its head. Avoid the glowing rings that slide down the body.
Transfer into the Orowyrm and fly to both tethers and destroy them. Then drive the Orowyrm to the portal and initiate the final fight with it.
All you have to do from here is:
- Destroy the three glowing red rings.
- Kill the adds between each phase.
- Avoid the massive area-of-effect attacks from the Orowyrm.
But this is all you need to do to defeat the Orowyrm. You will need to do this about 20 times to gain access to the other four Drifter melee weapons. Good luck on the hunt in The Duviri Paradox, he is fairly easy to take down with the right builds for your weapons. But if you are new to the game, I recommend going on “Public” to ensure you can do this fight with ease. Each variant of the Orowyrm will have different elemental attacks in this arena, so prepare for that!
