The summer gaming conference and convention season is in full force. Although the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) was officially canceled this year after multiple publishers pulled out of the event, plenty of other showcases are quickly filling the void. Geoff Keighley, the showrunner of The Game Awards, is leading the pack with his Summer Game Fest showcase, which includes over two hours of game announcements. Among them comes the official announcement of Honkai: Star Rail coming to PlayStation 5 later this year.

One of the biggest hits of 2023 is coming to home console. That’s right, Honkai: Star Rail World is set to release on PlayStation 5 in Q4 of this year. Developers miHoYo know a thing or two about creating engaging gacha games. More specifically, Genshin Impact is easily considered one of the most-played new IPs to hit the gaming scene in recent memory. Now, it seems their latest game will be making its way to the PlayStation platform.
