Warframe: Xaku Prime Build and Review
On wednesday, Xaku Prime made their debut into Warframe. Offering a similar “new look, same great taste” upgrade as does all primes. However, with what would look like minimal upgrades on the surface, that do add a lot to the overall performance of their kit in every activity. But before we get into how they perform in the current meta, let us first go over their build.
Xaku Prime Build in Warframe
Below is the build I have been using for Xaku Prime that you only need 1 forma for:
I went for an overall balanced build. With Molt Efficiency and Augmented periodically making their Duration and Strength above 200% in missions. The build I have is mostly for fun, as Xaku Prime begins to fall off near the endgame, making the Neutron Star and Null Star ability combination more for crowd cleaning alongside their Grasp of Lohk reliance. You can choose to replace this with Nourish or even an armor stripping ability like Tharros Strike or even Pillage to suit your needs.
Below are the Archon Shards I chose for them:
You can change these out with whichever you prefer but having that extra bit of Power Strength to counterbalance Overextended is great. As well as the two casting speed shards acting as a better replacement for Natural Talent.
Xaku Prime Review
When it comes to Xaku Prime, they have an extra:
- 24 Extra Shields.
- 21 Extra Armor.
- 21 Extra Energy.
- Slightly higher sprint speed and an extra V polarity.
I only needed one more polarity to finalize the build, which is great overall. Xaku, similar to their Prime, is a great early, mid and late game warframe that does end up falling behind in endgame activities. Such as Elite Archimedea, and even Archon Hunts. They are very effective in Steel Path and everything leading up to that point. But do not expect them carry you in everything if you do not have effective weaponry, like a Phenmor, Onos or Laetum. One final difference between Xaku and their Prime variant is the new cosmetic control. Where you can keep your cosmetics on if you cast Vast Untime, which is crucial for their kit.
I do like Xaku Prime, and even the minimal upgrades still help them stand out. I also think, similar to the Trumna and Quassus Prime they arrived with, you should aim to farm them over their normal counterparts if you do not have them as the Deimos grind is still very annoying.
