Time To Set Sail!

Have you been looking for a different kind of survival game experience? Well, there won’t be much longer to wait until you can actually experience one. A new game by 5Lives Studios that is a “Wind Waker”-like survival game called Windbound! This is a single-player only survival game that focuses on boat traversal. You travel from island to island, discovering new types of wildlife and mysteries to solve. Each island has resources for you to scavenger to create tools and weapons to hunt. Your boat is your key companion in your journey, expanding beyond what your small boat was before. Each island only has a certain amount of resources, so you have to sail off before you deplete the island if you want to survive.

Developed by 5Lives Studios and published by Deep Silver, it’s great to see another indie studio highlighted for their fantastic work. 5Lives Studios is previously known for Satellite Reign, a real-time class-based strategy game set in an open-world cyberpunk city on PC. Deep Silver is known for publishing fantastic games like Metro: Exodus, Wasteland 3, Shenmue III and more. Windbound comes to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC on August 28th.
