Raya and the Last Dragon Has a Great Second Weekend
This weekend, viewers placed Raya and the Last Dragon on top for a second time. This Disney movie was able to hold off Tom and Jerry for a second time. I doubt it will have the power to stop that iconic duo next weekend.
Raya and the Last Dragon grossed an estimated $5.7 million this weekend. Right now this film is sitting at $16 million domestically and $52.9 million worldwide. More and more theaters are opening up. Expect all of these numbers to slowly climb back up. It will take some time to get those pre-COVID numbers back.
Tom and Jerry took second this weekend. This film has now grossed an estimated $28 million domestically and $67 million worldwide. The Tom Holland movie, Chaos Walking, is sitting in third place. Chaos Walking is about a woman who embarks on a journey in a world where all-male thoughts are made open to everyone, but no one can see her thoughts. Look for this movie to slowly drop down the list. This week, look for the premiere of Zack Snyders Justice League on HBO Max. The reviews for this film are coming and they look promising.
I am happy to report that the intended vision is miles better than what audiences were subjected to back in 2017.

It finally becomes possible to see Justice League for the grand epic it was meant to be.
– Angie Han, Mashable
No one can deny the chasm in quality between Snyder and Whedon’s vision.

So get ready to join me and many others as Zach Snyders Justice League lands on March 18th. This four-hour epic is only on HBO Max.
