As part of the summer 2021 all-digital gaming conventions, today was the opening day for Gamescom. The 2021 Gamescom event will take place from August 25th through the 28th. Kicking off with Wensdays’s Opening Night Live, hosted by Geoff Keighley of The Game Awards. The two-hour Opening Night Live event promises fresh looks at nearly 40 upcoming games. As well as brand new game announcements. Including dropping a release date for Horizon Forbidden West.
Horizon Forbidden West will release globally on February 18, 2022. Along with the release date the team at Guerrilla has announced Horizon Zero Dawn received a free update for the PS5. A few weeks back we reported on a delay and that has come to fruition. While the team was aiming for a 2021 release, the new Covid-19 work from home restrictions in Europe has impacted the development of the game.
