The Game Awards 2022: Elden Ring Wins Game of the Year
The Game Awards are back. A one-night-only celebration of all things gaming live from the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Today December 8th, the best games from the year will be recognized and a ton of game announcements will be made. With that, we have a round-up of each award winner.
God of War Ragnarök led the way with six awards yet right behind it was FromSoftware’s Elden Ring. Ultimately the latter would take home Game of the Year. Elden Ring for sure had an amazing year. Selling over 13 million copies within its first month. The cult Japanese RPG grew in popularity overnight after becoming a sensation on both TikTok and Twitch.
