Mirror defense is a new game mode that was added to Warframe with “Citrine’s Last Wish“. It is basically a defense mode with more interactivity. But how does it play and how can you play like a pro during long sessions grinding for rewards? Well, that is what this simple guide is for.

For starters, there will be two defense targets you have to defend. Mirror Defense will alternate between the two every few minutes. During this time you will have endless enemies coming your way and crystals to collect all over the maps. These crystals will reward you with extra currency to buy rewards from Otak. As well as giving a strong over-shield to the defense target. So in between enemies, do your fair share of collecting these crystals. For rewards and for ensuring victory.

In between each defense session, you will have a thirty-second time window to get to the next room. In between both defense targets, there will be a void-torn tunnel with crystals to collect, so take your time and collect on your way to the next target.

After the thirty-second transition from the first defense target, you will have to rinse and repeat for the second defense target. Every two defenses will net you a reward so try and stick around for at least eight defenses for maximum reward potential.

For Mirror Defense, you should have a Frost or Gara staying near the defense targets with a mixture of Xaku’s or Titanias to collect crystals and kill enemies. I do recommend using an Ember for quick clean-ups as well. But this is all you need to know about the activity and how to navigate like a pro early on.
