Guardians must travel to the Gulch in the EDZ upon logging in. There, six Vex cubes will be scattered throughout the zone. Collect all six within twenty-five seconds. The timer refreshes after each cube, afterward, an access code will be generated.
Look to the sky. There, you will see a Vex funnel on the horizon. Head towards it until you reach a cave. Follow the tunnels until you find a familiar blue-eyed Harpy. Here, you can officially begin the exotic mission to get Vexcalibur.
//NODE.OVRD.AVALON//
The exotic mission is titled “//NODE.OVRD.AVALON//.” Power level starts at 1800. Your level is raised to 1790 if you are below that. However, this mission has its challenges. Guardians should find a rally flag once fully inside the Vex Network.
Prepare your loadouts for survivability and crowd control. Stasis and Strand work very well here. Additionally, Witherhoard and Osteostriga are viable options. Proceed forward into the Darkness zone. A Vex Construct will appear in the center followed by waves of Vex. Additionally, geometric confluxes will appear around the construct and then disappear.
You must destroy them in the correct order to proceed. Look to your right to see the first sequence. Read the sequence from top to bottom then shoot the shapes in that order. If you mess it up, start again from the beginning. The order sequence will move with each wave, so check the area to find it. Meanwhile, survive the army of Vex trying to take you down.
You will do this again in the next room. Afterward, continue through the network. Eventually, a new rally flag marks the first boss encounter.
First Boss Encounter
Your quest to get Vexcalibur continues. Use the lift to launch yourself into the arena. Once again, survivability and crowd control are key here. Collect pink data fragments dropped by enemies after killing them. A certain amount is required as indicated by the objective. on the left side of your hud.
Furthermore, you must deposit the fragments at the conflux in the center of the room to open the pit below. Failure to get inside the pit before the timer expires will result in a wipe. Be mindful of Hobgoblin snipers around the room. Additionally, Wyverns will spawn at ten seconds. It is best to lock them in place before heading into the pit or enter at the last second to avoid being gunned down inside.
After the room is purged, drop down into the next arena. Here, you will do the same mechanic. However, a higher number of fragments is required. Repeat your strategy and find safety in the pit. The third arena will release the Hydra boss along with waves of Harpies. Survive and damage the boss until the next phase. Collect the data fragments again and reach the pit. Rinse and repeat until the boss is defeated.
Final Boss Encounter
Exit from the opposite side. Traverse down the network until you reach the base of the coliseum. Ahead, a vex portal awaits. This teleports you to the final boss before you get Vexcalubur. Furthermore, it is a boss that should be familiar to many. Brakion, Asher Mir’s old foe, is back. You will spawn into a large room with pitfalls and a giant vex gate in the back.
Battle Brakion. Meanwhile, be mindful of its relentless sniper fire. Brakion will disappear and the gate will open after a third of the boss’ health is gone. Enter the gate for the next phase. Afterward, Brakion will be shielded in the back of the next room. Players must enter the correct sequence at the vex conflux like before. Similarly, the sequence code can be found on the arena’s left or right sides under transparent flooring. Enter the sequence and damage the boss further. You will need to input another sequence before finishing the second bar of health and moving to the third phase.
Finally, Brakion will become enraged. Players should be wary of enemies constantly spawning while Brakion charges them. Focus on survivability and ad control until the boss is defeated. Collect its remains to get Vexcalibur.
Crafting and Beyond
Return to the helm. Turn in the quest and receive your craftable Vexcalibur. Similarly to Revision Zero, this new exotic glaive is fully customizable. However, multiple runs of this exotic mission, including legendary, are needed to access different perks and mods.
The Vexcabilur Authorization quests are tied to intrinsic traits. These traits allow the haft and magazines to be customized. The quest will lead to you unlocking new secret chests each week. inside the mission using the glaive to bypass the Vex shields. On the other hand, the different catalysts for Vexcalibur can be obtained by doing the exotic mission on legendary each week.
