During Tokyo Game Show 2024, Digital Extremes streamed Devstream 181 to a live audience and showed off a lot of exciting content for Warframe. From Koumei and The Five Fates to the upcoming Caliban rework, a lot surprised and delighted the game’s community. But there was one last surprise that everyone can enjoy. That being the announcement of a fully playable demo for Warframe: 1999, the next major expansion for the game. But what makes this even more exciting is that it will be dropping on October 16th, two weeks after the arrival of Koumei and The Five Fates.

Details on the Upcoming Warframe: 1999 Demo

The upcoming demo for Warframe: 1999 is one of a kind. As you only need to have finished the main tutorial quests to play it. This includes:

  • Awakening.
  • Vor’s Prize.

It will be called “Ride the Devil Down”, and you will be playing as Arthur, the Excalibur proto frame. You will explore the city of Höllvanian on the Atomicycle and fight off the new enemy faction called the “Scaldra”. It will be a custom-made extermination mission, and when you complete it, you will be given the Protokol Longsword skin.

The demo can be replayed at any time, and not much is known about any potential narrative beats happening within the demos content.
