Warframe: Higasa Build and Review

Despite Koumei and The Five Fates only having been out for only a few short days, it has launched Warframe to Steams top sellers, and top 10 list and for good reason. The update added so many meaningful changes, new content, and the 58th warframe, Koumei and her weapons. Higasa, her rifle, has been one of the more interesting additions to the game in recent updates. But it lacks in usefulness the higher your activity levels go.

Higasa Build in Warframe

Below is the build I have been using for Higasa, you will need 3 Forma for it:

For starters, to get the most use out of the space provided, I went with a critical based build utilizing Hunter Munitions and Galvanized Aptitude for more damage output against endgame enemies. I was able to acquire the Higasa Serration mod, and it does help with general damage output with Primary Merciless and Radiated Reload helping to reload the weapon and offer some more long-term damage buffs. But how does Higasa hold up on its own?

Higasa Review

I think given its burst fire nature that it does handle well and ensures shots land where you fire with good recoil control without the need for a mod like Stabilizer. However, I think its pause between bursts could be faster at a baseline, or just be full auto. Its damage output won’t carry you in Archon Hunts, Netracells or Deep Archimedea, but for Steel Path and everything in-between? Well, it is quite the beast and the shield it puts up when aiming can save your life in a pinch, but not for sustained fire against enemies. The alternate fire packs a good punch as well, but the way to trigger it could be faster.

Higasa is good, but not excellent, with a good gimmick to itself, just do not expect the best of results. It is a weapon you can get early on in Warframe, and it is a very wise choice to go with until you hit the hardest activities in the game.

Note – Special thanks to Digital Extremes for providing Higasa for coverage purposes.
